PAVA (Pan Arab Vascular Surgeons Association)
In January of 2007, a group of Vascular Surgeons met during a conference for the Middle East and North African Society for Vascular Surgery that was held in Egypt and together they formed the founding committee for the Pan Arab Vascular Surgeons Association.

Later in the same year in June in a vascular surgery conference that was held in Aleppo, Syria, the founding general assembly for the PAVA was held with the participation of 48 Vascular Surgeons from different countries in the Arab world ushering the official formation of this association.
In August of 2007, the PAVA was registered with and thus became part of the Arab Medical Union

With the initiation of the Pan Arab Vascular surgery Association it was intuitive that most of the vascular surgeons in the Arab world were both pleased and willing to collaborate with it through their respective representing bodies.

Goals and Objectives
- Historical impact of Arab in medicine development and how Arab doctors were the pioneers of medical practice.
- Sharing international vascular conferences.
- Have an annual meeting to discuss the innovations and updates in vascular surgery.
- Revision of guidelines and evidence based vascular surgery knowledge and translate these guidelines into daily practice of vascular surgery.
- Sharing in putting vascular surgeries studies and degrees in Arabian medical schools.
- Annual scholarships for trainee and young vascular surgeons.
