About Us

PAVA (Pan Arab Vascular Surgeons Association)

In January of 2007, a group of Vascular Surgeons met during a conference for the Middle East and North African Society for Vascular Surgery that was held in Egypt and together they formed the founding committee for the Pan Arab Vascular Surgeons Association.
These surgeons were:

Amr Ahmed Gad

Raafat Naga

Hashem Sakr

Mohamed Ali Haider

Louay Altarazi

Later in the same year in June in a vascular surgery conference that was held in Aleppo, Syria, the founding general assembly for the PAVA was held with the participation of 48 Vascular Surgeons from different countries in the Arab world ushering the official formation of this association.
In August of 2007, the PAVA was registered with and thus became part of the Arab Medical Union
